I love lighthouses! Add an angry sea and crashing waves and it's even more amazing! I'll never forget our Michigan vacation. Towards the end of our vacation we took a couple days working our way down the Lake Michigan coastline visiting various lighthouses. I had no clue what we were about to see as I walked up the hill towards the St Joseph beach area. The moment the seascape was in sight was breathtaking! It was better than watching a favorite movie. Lake Michigan, part of the Great Lakes, was angry and the waves were large and very active! They had to be 10 - 15 feet high and maybe some even higher! Was so entertaining to watch. I loved the watching the waves crash against the lighthouse.
It was one of my favorite highlights of our trip and I got some amazing photos!
