Sony A99ii Video Handheld Test

Learning to use my Sony A99ii for Video

I've been using my Sony A99ii for my photography for a few years now. I've had some request to do videography. Back when I was in high school, I was involved with media class and was both in front of and behind the camera. I also film our family videos, however, both were on film and not digital. For my family photos, I'm used to using a basic mini DV tape video recorder. I haven't don't much with my DSLR.

To learn more and purchase a Sony A99ii, here's my Adorama Afflicate link: https://adorama.rfvk.net/YzjZP Thanks for helping support my small business!

So to show some of my learning experience as I practice and learn the best camera settings, I'm posting some of my test videos on my youtube channel. So far I've been shooting the video hand held or with my tripod. I'm in the process of looking into some sort of stabilizer which is required for video in order to get smooth movements. It's been a learning experience so far as I've stepped way out of my comfort zone especially when I get in front of the camera. I like to have full control over my camera settings and I started off in auto program mode which is not what I'm used to. My goal is to get a feel for it in program mode, then work my way up to manual video. Here are a couple videos I've taken so far:

If you'd like to follow me as I learn to capture video with a DSLR, feel free to subscribe to my channel, or like my videos. Thanks for watching!
