A look back on photography and art by Jennifer White with Timeless Moments Photography

Another year has gone by. The older I get the faster it goes.

2022 was a year of lots of changes for our family. Our daughter graduated high school, started her 2nd year in college, and moved out. It's been hard on this mom!

Aside from life, my favorite photography memory for 2022 would have to be our trip to Colorado Springs, Colorado. I got some really great photos at Garden of the Gods and Cheyenne Canon Parks. We (husband and I) also went to the top of Pikes Peak via the Cog Railway which was a first time experience for us. Seven Falls was also a beautiful site. Actually, everything there in Colorado was beautiful. I'd like to say I want to go back there, but I'm one of those I'd rather visit each place once so I can see something else the next time. There's so much to see and so little time. So if you're looking for a place to go in Colorado, I do recommend Colorado Springs. Maybe next time we'll go to Denver area.

Another great memory is a local trip for us. Bennett Spring State Park in Bennett Springs, Missouri which is near Lebanon. We went there during the fall season and it was beautiful. It was also fun having my first experience listening to the trout fishing alarm that went off at 7am to let all the fishemen know they could cast in their lines. That was fun. We got there really early in the morning and I captured one of my favorite photos of the year of one of the arch bridges along the natural spring during blue hour.

Overall it was a pretty good year. As each year passes I find myself improving on my skills. I always try to learn new things and critique my own work more and more and that has helped me to really grow. 2022 has been my most successful year so far. I owe that to the Lord for helping us through it. Before I travel anywhere I pray and take His lead on where he wants us to go. After all, everything we see is His art. Even if it's manmade, he gave that ability and vision to the person/team who made it.

Here's a short video showing some of my work for 2022. To see all of my work, visit my fine art site here. Be blessed and enjoy!
