Home Decor Ideas For The Fall Season

Who loves the autumn season? The beautiful colors, the beautiful weather, the crisp air.... I love it. Autumn is a lot of photographers favorite season....hmm I wonder why? lol. It's also one of their busiest seasons.

On a different note, I love to change up our home decor and office for the different seasons and holidays. It helps keep the home feeling fresh and clean (I clean when switching out the decor). The great thing about fall season decorations is they can be out starting in September and through November for Thanksgiving. I start with my basic autumn decor, then in October I add Halloween decor, and then I switch out the Halloween with Thanksgiving decor. Not every country celebrates these holidays, but most of us in America do. (One of my pet peeves is people forgetting about Thanksgiving and putting Christmas up before Thanksgiving. Christmas is my favorite holiday, but I at least wait until Thanksgiving is over.) Anyways, the basic autumn decor gets to stay out for a couple months and two holidays.

Typically the basic decorations consists of leaves, wreaths, flowers, figurines, pumpkins / gourds, and more. But there are other things you can switch out that you may have not thought about. Here are also some of those ideas you can do.

Shower Curtains:

Changing out your shower curtain for the season is a great way to keep things changed up in your bathroom. Also helps your curtain to last longer and keeps it cleaner (hopefully you clean it before storing).

Tapestries:

Wall Tapestries is another easy switch for the season. They look great on the wall and work for any room, home, or office. They also last long so you can switch them around for a few years until you're ready for a change.

Pillows:

Pillows is an easy inexpensive way to add some autumn flare to your decor. They are easy, usable, and fun. They can be used in any room and especially in the living room or bedroom. Even are great for those of you who have a movie theater in your home. Gives something for everyone to cuddle or recline with. They're also great for the office waiting room too.

Duvet Covers / Bed Spreads:

Changing out your bedspreads for the autumn season is also an option to decorate your bedroom. With today's technology, I think it's amazing how they can make photos and art as bed spreads.

Clocks:

Switching out clocks is another easy and inexpensive way to bring in some autumn decor for any room and works great for both home or office.

Welcome Mats:

Welcome mats is a great way to great your visitors or clients, rather it's home or office. Why not have the proper mat out for the specific season?

So these are just a few ideas of the autumn decor options that are a little different then your typicalknick·knacks. There are also other options such as, water globes, night lights, coasters, magnets, kitchenware, and more.

What are some of the things you like to switch out for the autumn season?
